1) We like drama just as much as the next roleplayer, but please, don't cause it in the cbox or out of character. Keep it to private messaging and instant messages.
2) Respect is a big thing. Show respect to the staff, they put in a lot of time to make the site run for you to enjoy, and being rude to them is uncalled for. If you respect others, they will respect you back.
3) Do not bother staff to do staff things. They will get to it when they get to it. If things have gone more than three days without being looked at, in that case you are welcome to PM someone, but don't be a jerk about it. We have lives too.
4) Do not ask to become staff. The admin and creator, Kuroya, will hire staff as she sees fit, and annoying her about it will only make her less likely to hire you.
5) Do not come onto the site to cause trouble or to advertise. We have a guest-friendly board for advertising sites, so please don't spam the cbox or PMs with advertisements.

POSTING
1) Do not god-mode please. The nobles are likely to have powerful Chains, especially the heads of families, but that does not mean they're invincible. Dodging every hit and throwing back impossible-to-miss attacks that are meant to kill or cause serious damage is not allowed here.
2) Like god-moding, powerplay is not permitted here either. Don't force someone else's character into doing something unless you ask permission first!
3) You are permitted to swear provided you don't use expletives every other sentence (or something to the like). If it goes against ProBoards ToS, we don't want to see it in a post.
4) We ask that you kindly adhere to a minimum word count of 200. That's not a whole lot to ask. Just 200 words for an in-character post. This isn't to be mean, it's to make sure that the other person will have enough to respond to.
5) Post templates are welcomed for use here, and even encouraged since then the text won't become unreadable if the skin changes. We merely ask that you don't stretch the boards with an image or a layout wider than 500 pixels.

CHARACTER
1) Homosexuality is allowed on the site. Guys can be romantically attracted to other guys, and girls can be romantically attracted to other girls. Nobles will naturally be more pressured to be straight in order to produce heirs, but you may make a homosexual or bisexual noble if you so choose.
2) That said, illegitimate children happen. A noble family can have illegitimate children, but they will never be permitted to obtain a position of power. This is because they were born out of wedlock, and the era does not permit for illegitimate children to prosper as much as children sired from a married couple.
3) Canon characters are not permitted on Counting Cards, nor are Chains who made an appearance in Pandora Hearts. Also, a single character cannot make multiple Contracts with Chains and a single Chain cannot make multiple Contracts with humans.
4) Each character is his or her own account. This is to help the staff keep everything straight. If you are a critic of this rule, you are welcome to keep to only one character or merely use the same password for all the accounts.
5) Killing off another person's character is not allowed. You must get permission first, and forcing the roleplayer into a situation that would be nigh impossible to survive is not allowed, not to mention a rude thing to do.

MISCELLANEOUS
1) If you choose to leave Counting Cards but then return, you can reclaim all of your old characters. However, if you had a character in a position of power that has since been filled, you will not get that position back. Sorry!
2) Staff are not always right, and pointing something out to them when they're wrong is almost always a good thing. We're all human and we all make mistakes. Just don't bring it up in a rude manner please. Handle it through a private message or an instant message.
3) Avatars should be 100x100 pixels and signatures should be 500x300 pixels maximum. This is so that things will size correctly in your window.
4) Characters on the site belong to their respective roleplayer. As such, if the staff figures out that someone has stolen material, the stolen material will be locked and archived and the member subject to disciplinary action. Steal anything from Counting Cards and you will be dragged to the depths of the Abyss.
5) Have fun!
